We love our community of Babyation Ambassador moms (YAY Baby- NATION!). Hearing from all of you has truly made our day/week/month and we wanted to share some of your stories here on the blog. Our motherhood journey is just that- a journey. We are all going through it, figuring out what works best, what doesn’t work, and what advice we just need to ignore (spoiler: a lot of it!).
Jenn W summed up her pumping journey, as the mother of 3 boys (two of which are twins!) so well that we are sharing her words here.
We know pumping and breastfeeding has its challenges and we are grateful to Jenn for sharing why The Pump helped her and the advice she’d give to new moms who are just getting started. Thank you to Jenn for being so open and honest and willing to share her story.
“Pumping is truly a labor of love- hang in there!”
I am a mom to three rambunctious boys. Two of which are 3 1/2-year-old twins and my youngest is 14 months.
When I had my twins, my body didn’t produce milk like I hoped it would. I tried the typical wall pump and a set of portable pumps. The portable pumps were okay but a bit harsh and painful over time. I eventually had to stop pumping because I just couldn’t produce enough milk. Fast forward to 2022. I gave birth to my youngest and wanted to find a new pump. I tried two different portable pumps this time. One of them worked okay, and the other didn’t work at all. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to continue pumping this time. We ended up moving in the Fall of 2022 and all of my pump parts disappeared in the chaos. I needed a pump to have extra milk in the fridge and freezer for those times I couldn’t breastfeed. I saw that the Babyation pump was available for purchase. Once I figured out the correct positioning and settings for myself, I was amazed at how much milk I was actually producing.
Losing those pump pieces was the universe working in my favor. The Babyation pump has helped ease my mind to know my body is doing what it can to support my little one. It’s soft and painless, quick to set up/break down, virtually unnoticeable when on, and works so well for me! The fact that I only have to clean the bottles and nipple shields makes it that much better.
I know it’s hard moms, but worth it. I’m happy I found a pump that helped.
My advice is to keep going, and maybe give other pumps a try. I hope this helps!
